The Lüderitz Blue School is registered with the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Arts, Sports and Culture of the Republic of Namibia, registered 7720. Admission is open to all learners, irrespective of race, colour, ethnic origin or creed. We take safeguarding very seriously and all staff will be subject to vigourous checks.
Secondary School curriculum
The Secondary School runs from Year 7 to Year 13 and is divided into three Key Stages. Public exams are sat at the end of Key Stage 4 (iGCSEs) and Key Stage 5 (AS/A Levels).

Key Stage 3 - first two years of Secondary School
Students of the Lüderitz Blue Secondary School experience a broad and balanced curriculum covering British, Namibian and International ideologies, histories and contexts. Our Key Stage 3 (KS3) takes place over the course of two years, condensing the three-year Key Stage into two. This enables our students to prepare for local or global further education and keeps us in line with local schools and exit-ages.

Key Stage 4 - iGCSE
In KS4, our students take the Cambridge iGCSE qualification. All Luderitz Blue Secondary School students will study for an iGCSE in English Language, English Literature, Maths, Co-ordinated Science (Double) and Marine Science. They will also choose two further qualifications from the Humanities (History/ Geography) or Languages (French/Afrikaans). Students can then move on to KS5 with a total of 8 iGCSE certifications. In addition to the examined curriculum, we offer a “recreational” curriculum for all students covering Sport, Art, Drama, Computing and other areas.

Key Stage 5 - AS and A-Levels
As they move on to KS5, students at the Lüderitz Blue Secondary School will take their AS Levels (with Cambridge International) in Year 12 and their A-Levels (Cambridge) should they continue with us into Year 13. This prepares all students for further education and ensures they can apply for, and access, globally-recognised courses at world-leading universities.
